Tarot of the Holy Spectrum

Chase Voorhees

Tarot of the Holy Spectrum is an independently designed Tarot deck, by multi disciplinary artist, Chase Voorhees.

The cards are printed on beautiful, high quality 350gsm Art Paper, featuring a matte black finish on both the backs and the edges of the cards. The artistic intention around this choice was to create the illusion of a black void when the deck is face down. Each time you reach for your deck, it offers the ritual of reaching into the unknown to receive guidance and clarity from the cards.

Tarot of the Holy Spectrum tells a story through color. The Major Arcana is focused in black and white with intentional pops of color, while each of the Minor Arcana suits progresses through the color spectrum.

The cards are sized at 120mm x 70mm (traditional Tarot size), and come in a gorgeous, matte black custom designed box, specifically created for the deck by Chase.

Tarot of the Holy Spectrum Includes:

  • 78 tarot cards, each beautifully designed in full color, with matte finish and black edging and backs
  • Matte black box, with a holographic infinity loop on the cover

Please note: This Tarot deck does not come with a guide book. The intention behind this choice is to empower the reader to come to their own understanding of what the cards mean for them.

From the Artist:

Tarot of the Holy Spectrum is a product of the last year of my life. At the onset of creation, my main goal was to create a deck that spoke in a cohesive color language.

In the creation of the deck, I was inspired by the imagery of the Smith Rider Waite, and the work of Lindsay Mack, founder of Tarot for the Wild Soul, whose teachings served as a foundation for many of the visuals in the cards. Ultimately, the art in the finished deck is a blend of the inspirations mentioned above, and my own intuitively guided interpretations of the archetypes. ∞

Why the Spectrum?

When I first started creating this deck, it began as an artistic challenge. The goal was to set very specific color boundaries, and then see if I could stick with them through the process of making an entire deck.

I decided pretty early on that each suit of The Minor Arcana would be a complete color spectrum. The Court Cards would be monochromatic, and The Major Arcana would feature black and white imagery with a single highlighted color, determined by the particular card’s number.

The Fool is the only card to feature every color in the form of a spectrum. ∞
